Guided by experience, grounded in compassion, shaped with meaning

Saying goodbye to someone is never easy. Arranging a service or ceremony that genuinely reflects that person’s life requires careful attention.

We all live our lives in our own way, which means each person’s life is equally deserving of a unique and special moment, to truly honour their personality, achievements, and legacy. This helps to provide comfort, closure, and a sense of peace.

As an experienced celebrant of almost ten years, I bring warmth, guidance, and care to every ceremony.

My role is to guide you through the process of creating a funeral or memorial service that honours your loved one in the most meaningful and fitting way.

Personalised and heartfelt ceremonies

Whether you’re planning a small, intimate gathering or a larger memorial, I will work closely with you to create a ceremony that feels personal, sincere, and appropriate for your loved one. From the words spoken to the rituals included, I make sure the service is customised to your preferences, beliefs, and wishes.

Why choose a celebrant-led funeral?

A celebrant-led service offers you the freedom to design a ceremony that reflects the uniqueness of the person you’ve lost. This can include music, personal tributes, poems, quotes, readings, prayers, and hymns. There are no restrictions. All that matters to me is that the service is how you would like it to be, and in the way that best suits that person and the mood you would like to encapsulate.

Your loved one’s story, beautifully told

It is important that a person’s life is reflected in a way that honours them. I truly enjoy meeting people and spending time with them to learn about their friends or loved ones. This enables me to tailor the ceremony to honour their story and legacy, ensuring their memory is appropriately celebrated.

I take pride in my presentation – a clear voice, careful listening, thoughtful writing, and heartfelt delivery

FAQs

A funeral celebrant is the person who officiates at the service. This service is either held at a crematorium, a chapel, a venue of your choice or by the graveside.
A celebrant is independent. It is up to you to choose whether you would like to have any religious elements in the service.

A celebrant works with you, creating the service that you would like.

Often people have firm ideas about what they would or would not like. The celebrant will help and guide you explaining what is going to happen on the day itself. Many people have little experience when it comes to organising a funeral for a friend or loved one. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start, the celebrant you choose will be there to support you every step of the way.

We will speak on the phone and find a mutually agreeable time to talk in order for you to tell me your hopes and plans for the service. When we chat there may be several people/family members who wish to join. We will talk through the service itself. I will help formulate the order of service in a way that feels right for you. There are many different elements to a service. There is no set plan. Think about the music in the chapel… when you come in and also when you are leaving, as well as other music during the service for reflection or with a picture tribute. Personal tributes are a lovely way to honour a loved one. Sharing memories, reading a letter, delivering a eulogy or reading a poem. You might also want to sing, which could be a song that holds meaning, or a hymn. If a prayer or blessing feels appropriate, this might also be something to consider. Music can make a huge difference to a service – perhaps it will conjure up a memory, or your loved one might have requested a specific piece. Should you need any help with suggestions, then I can offer you ideas. Most crematoria now have wonderful media facilities. This means you can have visual and audio tributes, allowing friends and loved ones to participate no matter where they are based. For friends and relatives living abroad or unable to travel webcast facilities may also be on offer, and in this way, they too can feel present. The main reason for the service is to say farewell as we honour and celebrate the deceased. So often we learn more about their accomplishments, achievements, passions and personality. I will write up everything that you would like said and if necessary read it on your behalf.

Let’s create a ceremony that feels truly yours.

Whether you’re celebrating love, welcoming a new life, or honouring someone special, I will work with you to make it meaningful, personal, and unforgettable.
